No. 9 Florida Volleyball Falls to No. 19 Iowa State in a Five Set Heartbreaker

The ninth-ranked Florida Gator volleyball team suffered its first defeat of the year, and first regular season loss in nearly a year against No. 19 Iowa State (19-25, 27-29, 25-17, 25-18, 14-16). Florida dug themselves in a hole, dropping the first to sets to the Cyclones, but rallied in sets three and four to force a set five tiebreaker. The Gators held match point in the fifth up 14-13, but Iowa State scored the next three points for the victory. Senior outside hitter Kristy Jaeckel had a match-high 16 kills, while Kelly Murphy led the team in digs and assists with 21 and 29, respectively.
