Buchholz Volleyball Sweeps GHS 3-0

In High School volleyball, Gainesville High faced Buchholz, the state's top-ranked team in class 7A, and lost in straights 25-18, 25-19, and 25-20.
Gainesville High had several blocks for the night. GHS Outside Hitter Kayla Bivens contributed to those with three blocks and 14 kills. Chancie Grant, also chipped in five blocks and six kills for the purple Hurricanes.
Despite those efforts, Gainesville could not get ahead. Buchholz's Julie Fuchs helped keep the lead with five kills and two blocks. Kristin Ferry also helped beat the Hurricanes with seven kills and 10 digs in the victory.
Buchholz improves to 17-2 on the season.
