Eagles Snap Skid Against Wolves with 39-0 Shutout Victory
St. Francis Catholic seemed to have Oak Hall's number on the football field. The Eagles had lost their last two meetings to the Wolves in as many years, but this season Oak Hall found something that worked against St. Francis en route to a 39-0 shutout road victory. The Eagles moved into sole possession of first place in the South Division of the NFFA, and nearly eliminated any shot of the Wolves making the post season in the FHSAA. The game turned when St. Francis went for a fourth and short in Eagles territory, initially ruled a first down only to be rescinded after officials brought out the chains for a proper measurement. After that, Oak Hall took advantage of costly St. Francis turnovers and a stale Wolves offense to hang on for victory.
