Extra Mayo! Lafayette Wins 1A Volleyball State Championship!

The Lafayette Hornets had never made it to a girl's volleyball state semifinal. In their first appearance on the big stage, the Hornets are taking home the big prize. For the first time in 30 years, Lafayette captured a state title, besting Baker in straight sets (25-14, 25-13, 25-14) for the 1A volleyball state championship. The Hornets were led by Bailey Edwards with 16 kills, Lindsay O'Steen adding 12 and 22 assists, and Lydia Land with 15 digs on the afternoon.
