John Brantley Suffered Concussion, Is On The Mend, According to Father
Published December 2nd, 2011
Florida quarterback John Brantley faced yet another medical setback Saturday night, leaving the Gators final game of the regular season with a concussion in the 2nd quarter. Yet on Thursday, Brantley's father told WCJB his son is feeling better, and should be ready to play in the Gators bowl game. The injury is just the latest in a string of injuries which began with back pain in fall camp, continued with a severe high ankle sprain against Alabama, an injured arm, and now the concussion Brantley sustained against Florida State. Brantley III cited his son's toughness this year, saying he wants one more shot to give his team a win. "He needs to get his confidence back," Brantley III said. "He wants to go out with a win."
