Last Chance to Get Noticed For Area High School Football Players
Published January 18th, 2012
Cordero Dixon has made game-changing plays for the Gainesville High football team in pressure situations so he doesn't really see this weekend's all-star game as any more challenging. The difference is that Dixon, like the 60 other football players from North Florida, will all be fighting for one more chance to be noticed by college scouts at the Florida-Georgia Border War game in Valdosta, Ga. on Saturday. Most of the players practicing and playing haven't received scholarship offers, but players and coaches alike feel there's still a chance for these talented players.
