Lights-Out Shooting as Florida Basketball Defeats UAB 79-61
Published January 3rd, 2012
Even a power outage couldn't slow down Florida's three-point attack against Alabama-Birmingham Tuesday night. Several lights in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center went dim in the second half of Florida's game against the Blazers, but the Gators stayed hot, hitting 15-of 27 3-pointers, as Florida won 79-61. Erving Walker led Florida with 23 points (7-9 from 3), while Kenny Boynton added 20. This was the final non-conference game of the season for Florida (12-3). Conference play begins on the road this Saturday against Tennessee.
