Although six players have already started taking classes as early enrollees, Will Muschamp was finally able to officially welcome his signing class of 2012 to Florida on Wednesday. National signing day produced at least one big surprise: Dante Fowler Jr. (LB, St. Petersburg/Lakewood Senior) switched from a verbal commitment to Florida State, picking the Gators instead. Fowler Jr. was one of 23 players in this year's class, which includes three five-star players according to Scout.com
