PK Yonge Opens Up Girls Basketball Postseason With Celebrations On Two Fronts

PK Yonge celebrated the 2012 girls basketball postseason with national recognition for one player, and a victory for the entire team. Blue Wave guard Niya Johnson was named a McDonalds All-American, and the Blue Wave disposed of Master's Academy 56-20 in the class 3A Regional Quarterfinals. Other local winners included Santa Fe and Trinity Catholic (Class 4A), Gainesville High (6A) and Buchholz (7A). Williston saw its season come to an end, losing to Trinity Catholic.
