Union County boys basketball head coach Rufus Jefferson said his players have worked hard all season for a chance at a district championship. In the District 7-1A finals, their hard work came to fruition. Shaimea Maeweather led the Tigers with 24 points, as Union County bested top-seeded Chiefland 60-53 for their first district title in the past four years.
