Five Gator Basketball Players Earn All-Conference Honors

All-told, the Florida Gator basketball team fielded a starting five of all-conference honorees as the SEC office announced the awards on Tuesday. Junior Kenny Boynton and freshman Bradley Beal earned All-SEC first team honors, and Beal was also on the All-Freshman team-the first time a Gator has ever pulled off that accomplishment in the same year. Senior guard Erving Walker earned second team All-SEC honors, and two other players earned recognition for actoins away from the court. Forward Will Yeguete was named to the SEC All Community Service team, and forward Patric Young is the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, maintaining a 3.37 GPA as he pursues a degree in Telecommunication.
