Gator Baseball Fortunate for Series Victory Over South Carolina
Published March 26th, 2012
The top-ranked Gator Baseball team still remembers the tough College World Series loss to South Carolina last June. This season, Florida exacted a little revenge on their SEC East rivals, grabbing the series away from the Gamecocks in the Saturday rubber-match with a 5-4 victory. The win put Florida in the drivers seat in the conference, currently 5-1 in SEC play. Conversely, the No. 6 Gamecocks dropped to 1-5 in conference action. Head coach Kevin O'Sullivan is glad the mental test is over, but knows there's plenty of tough tests along the way.
