Tiger Woods Captures 1st PGA Tour Win Since 2009
Published March 26th, 2012
When Tiger is wearing red with a lead entering a final round, watch out. That's the message the former top-ranked golfer in the world sent on Sunday, beating Graeme McDowell by five strokes for Wood's first PGA Tour victory in two and a half years. The drought lasted 924 days, and possibly ended in great timing with the Masters less than two weeks away. Tiger was wearing the familiar color that symbolized his greatness in the sport for so long in the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Florida. Woods entered with a one-shot lead over McDowell, and ended the tournament with a 13-under par.
