Gator Women's Tennis Earns 18th SEC Tournament Title

The Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs resumed their battle for women's tennis supremacy at the SEC Championships in Oxford, Mississippi. In the team's 14th meeting in the finals, the Gators picked up its 18th overall title, 10 coming against the Lady Dawgs, as Florida earned a 4-1 victory. The Gators claimed a hotly-contested doubles point to go up 1-0, and followed that with singles victories from Joanna Mather, Caroline HItimana, and Lauren Embree for the win. The second-ranked Gators now await the rest of the NCAA Championship field to be announced on May 1st at 5:30pm.
