The Keystone Heights softball team became the first North Central Florida softball team to record a win in the 2012 state playoffs, beating South Sumter 10-0 Tuesday night in the class 4A regional quarterfinal. They were joined in the regional semifinal by Bradford County who beat Trinity Catholic 10-1. Meanwhile Vanguard and Columbia County both lost their respective playoff openers.
