Wonder Girls Making Mark on Area High School Programs
There are certain players that provide their stamp on a high school program. For Eastside and Oak Hall, Lauren Hintenlang and Haley Birkle have done plenty for their respective teams on the fields of play. Hintenlang, a three-sport athlete for the Lady Rams (Volleyball, Soccer, Lacrosse), is also a phenomenal student in Eastside's IB program, ranking in the top 10 in her class as well as being recognized as one of the brightest in the country, recently named a semi-finalist for the SAMMY award (Scholar Athlete Milk Moustache of the Year). Birkle has been having a fantastic year on the diamond for the Eagles, leading the team in hits, runs scored, and striking out 114 batters. She's cemented herself as one of the best pitchers in the area and will play softball collegiately at Augusta State University.
