Drive for Five! Gator Softball 5th Seed in NCAA Tournament
The field is set and the Florida Gator softball team is number five in the eyes of the selection committee. The Gators earned a top-five national seed for the fifth-straight year, with the four previous seasons resulting an trip to the Women's College World Series. Florida will host a 10th consecutive regional at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium and should be plenty familiar with the visitors on May 18th-20th. The Gators welcome FGCU, UCF, and USF to the sunshine state regional showdown. Florida faced every team at least once in the regular season, beating Florida Gulf Coast (5-0), splitting two games with South Florida (3-2, 1-4), and dropping a lone meeting with Central Florida (0-2). The Gators start things off on Friday, May 18th at 6pm against FGCU.
