Eastside High School competed hard against visiting Leesburg in both teams spring football game. But after taking a 20-13 lead into halftime, the Rams faltered in the last two quarters to fall to the Yellow Jackets 27-26. Eastside was down 6-0 in the 1st quarter when quarterback Sir Jackson threw up a beautiful fade route to Keandre McCray to tie up the game 6-6 after the Rams extra-point attempt was blocked. Leesburg retook the lead 13-6 but Jackson struck through the air again, this time to Jamari Walker, who made a move and raced for a long touchdown reception. Eastside then took the lead on a Jackson to David Smith hookup before halftime, but couldn't hang on to the lead in the end.
