Gator Baseball Bats Shut Down in 2-1 Loss to Vanderbilt
Published May 25th, 2012
The No. 2 Gator baseball team waited patiently for their opponent in Thursday night's SEC Tournament game, but when the game started the bats stayed silent. Florida left 11 runners stranded on base in a 2-1 loss to Vanderbilt, sending the Gators to an elimination game against South Carolina on Friday evening in Hoover, Alabama. Hudson Randall limited the Commodores to only two runs in the fourth inning, but never got the run support needed to record a fifth-straight win. Instead, Randall fell to 7-2 on the season, and the Gators dropped to 41-17 as a team.
