Keystone Heights Magical Softball Season Ends 1-0 in 4A State Semis
Published May 14th, 2012
Keystone Heights was one win away from achieving the school's first ever appearance in a softball state championship, but fell short to Florida High 1-0 in the Class 4A Softball State Semifinal. Indians pitcher Amber Skipper was fantastic, limiting the Seminoles to one run on only five hits, striking out seven. But the lone run of the game came in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly, and Keystone Heights couldn't muster a run over the plate. The Indians finished the season 19-8, making the softball state semifinals for the first time in 17 years.
