Much-Scrutinized Tebow Underperforms in First Look as NY Jets Quarterback
Tim Tebow knew what he was getting into when he was traded to the New York Jets. Every microcosm of his game was going to be dissected and put under a microscope, and it started with the first open-to-the-media Jets Organized Team Activities. Tebow threw two interceptions in a span of three three plays in a lackluster debut for the Jets. Former Gator head coach Urban Meyer and former Gator strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti looked on as Tebow struggled learning a new offense under former Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano. Incumbent quarterback Mark Sanchez showed more polish than Tebow, but Tebow was also put in a different role besides quarterback, slotted as the up-back on the punt unit. The former Gator Heisman Trophy winner knows it's going to be a process, and is just thankful each and every day to play the game he loves.
