The SEC and Big 12 have found their answer to the Rose Bowl: a matchup of their conference champions in a new January 1 bowl game starting January 1, 2015. SEC Commissioner Mike Slive made the announcement Friday, saying that if either of the two champions plays in the proposed 4-team playoff, "another deserving team" will play in their places.
