The Florida Gator baseball team did something Friday night that no other team had done in almost a year-get the better of Mississippi State pitcher Chris Stratton. Stratton, previously 9-0 during the 2012 season, took his first loss since May 2011 as the Gators beat the Bulldogs 4-1 at McKethan Stadium. Daniel Pigott hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to provide the final margin, and the senior said it was great to help out on senior day.
