Published June 11th, 2012
Through rain delays and extra innings, the Florida Gators baseball team was able to overcome adversity Sunday afternoon against North Carolina State, assuring them a visit back to Omaha, NE for their third straight College World Series. The Gators and the Wolfpack were tied at seven in the tenth inning until Gator outfielder Daniel Pigott hit a solo home run which then set the stage for sophomore right hand pitcher Keenan Kish to strike out NC State's Chris Diaz to end the game. The Gators now face South Carolina in the first round of the College World Series Saturday at 9 p.m.
