Gainesville Fisher House Golf Tournament
Published June 11th, 2012
The Gainesville Fisher House held its third annual charity golf tournament at Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club Sunday morning. The event had a shotgun start at 9am and finished around 1pm. All money raised went to the Fisher House organization that helps give military families a "home away from home" at the most stressful time - during hospitilization for an illness, disease, or injury due to military involvement. So far, the Gainesville Fisher House has raised over two million dollars and is still on track to open a Fisher House in North Central Florida.
