Gator Baseball Freshman Casey Turgeon Getting Comfortable
Published June 4th, 2012
For Gators second baseman Casey Turgeon, the hits keep coming-and now its going beyond the plate. The Gators freshman was named Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Florida Regional after hitting .600 last weekend. The latest accolade is not his only recent one, however. Turgeon was also named to the All-Tournament Team at the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Al. in May. Although he's just a freshman, Turgeon said his heavy load of plate appearances (213 in 61 games) has gotten him comfortable quickly.
