Harvin Wants Trade, Probably Won't Get One
Published June 20th, 2012
The former Florida Gators All-American and current Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin has proved to be tough to deal with both on and off the field, and for very different reasons. On the field, Harvin was a Pro Bowl performer in 2009 and is considered the Vikings best-and healthiest-weapon currently available. But Harvin has requested a trade from the Vikings and did not specify why he was unhappy. Harvin did say, however, that the issues need to be resolved by July 26th when the Vikings training camp opens. Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman says Harvin is a good person and does not plan on trading him. Spielman is optimistic about getting all the issues resolved.
