On the strength of a school-record 3 national titles, the Florida Gator athletics program matched a program-best second place in the 2011-2012 Director's Cup. Stanford won for the 18th consecutive year, but the Gators earned second by winning championships in women's tennis, men's indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field, while 12 Gator teams total finished among the top ten in the country.
