Published July 24th, 2012
Former Florida Gator football player and sprinter Jeff Demps has been added to the US track and field Olympic roster, after fellow sprinter Mike Rogers dropped out due to a stress fracture in his foot. Demps was training in Gainesville and now he will go to the London games where he will be in the pool of athletes eligible to represent the US for the 4X100 relay. Adding Demps to the roster raises a record total of 37 Gator athletes in the 2012 Olympics.
