Gator Olympian Spotlight: Genevieve LaCaze
Published July 18th, 2012
TV20 is spotlighting seven former or current Gator athletes who will compete in the 2012 London Summer games.
The first is steeplechaser Genevieve LaCaze, who qualified for her native Australia after the country extended a qualification deadline in June.
LaCaze is the defending SEC women's outdoor champ in the 3000-meter steeplechase, the 1500-meter, and 5000-meter, the first athlete in conference history to achieve the feat.
And from her early history with three brothers teaching her to fight for everything, now it's onto the fight for an Olympic medal in London.
