Rodriguez Latest Gator to Ink Deal
Published July 6th, 2012
Left-handed pitcher Steven Rodriguez was the latest Florida Gator junior to forego his final year of eligibility and sign with a Major League Baseball organization. Rodriguez put pen to paper with the Los Angeles Dodgers, leaving only one Gator (senior Preston Tucker) left to sign a deal. Rodriguez led the Gators with 81 strikeouts in only 62 innings of work, and held a 2.18 ERA, second-best on the team with a minimum of 34 innings pitched.
