Newberry- The Newberry Panthers are hoping a veteran football team can turn things around this season.

"This year I'm seeing a lot more juniors and seniors next to players names, where last year there were a lot more freshmen and sophomores," said head coach Chris Baker on Tuesday.

The Panthers open up their season against Santa Fe, and hope to improve on last year's 2-8 record.
