Kerstetter Lands on Feet as TC Offensive Coordinator
OCALA, Fla. - Trinity Catholic has grown into one of the best high school football programs in North Central Florida, and John Brantley just bolstered his staff with another offensive-minded coach.
The Celtics head coach hired former Buchholz head coach Matt Kerstetter as offensive coordinator.
Kerstetter was fired from Buchholz back in June after leading the Bobcats to a 1-9 record in his lone season as head coach.
Kerstetter's offense showed promise in the last three games, averaging over 37 points and winning the season finale.
Brantley said he expects Kerstetter to learn the Trinity Catholic offense instead of installing new schemes to the kids from scratch.
But Kerstetter will get a chance to put his flavor on things, throwing in a wrinkle or two as he sees fit.
Buchholz and Trinity Catholic do not face each other in the 2012-13 football season.
