GAINESVILLE- Sometimes, it takes the rest of the country a little while to catch up to local trends. 

But now that Florida Gators running Mike Gillislee is trending in the first four weeks, the Maxwell Football Club has taken notice. 

The club added the Gators senior to the Maxwell Award watch list after Gillislle has run for more than 400 yards and 5 touchdowns in his first four games. 

The Maxwell Award is given annually to the best player in college football.
