GAINESVILLE- David Lerner battled for everything he earned on the football field, as our One Voice guest this week earned a scholarship in his senior season in 2011 by earning the starting punting job for half of the season.

All the while, former Buchholz High punter David Lerner was battling Crohn's Disease, which can be extremely painful and dibilitating.

Lerner said at times he thought about quitting, but thanks to some compassion from Will Muschamp, Lerner was allowed to miss some practice time to recover, and appeared in 6 games during his senior season.
