Gators Rack Up Honors Following Win Over LSU
Published October 9th, 2012
GAINESVILLE- As the Florida Gators needed great effort on both sides of the football to beat LSU 14-6, it was only fitting that players from both sides of the ball would earn all conference weekly honors.
Gators Safety Matt Elam won SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors, while Mike Gillislee earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
Elam had 7 solo tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage versus the Tigers, while Gillislee ran 34 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns last weekend.
