High School Volleyball Holds District Championships
GAINESVILLE- High school volleyball is moving right along through the postseason, and Thursday night saw several district champions crowned.
In class 6A, Vanguard-number one in the state-took on Gainesville High.
The Knights and Canes went back and forth the entire match, but Vanguard eventually won out after five sets.
Final scores, Vanguard wins the first 25-10, Gainesville in the second 25-22, Vanguard gets the third 25-22, Gainesville with the fourth 25-19 and then Vanguard takes the fifth 15-5.
Cornerstone took on St. John Luthern and won in straights 25-23, 25-21, and 25- 18.
Union County was able to win the first set against Newberry, but after that it was all Panthers. Final scores Union County in the first 25-21, then Newberry 25-18, 25-21, and 25-21.
