Gator Basketball Team Prepares to Brave Elements vs. Georgetown
Published November 8th, 2012
GAINESVILLE- With temperatures hovering around the mid 50's on Friday night, it's safe to say the Florida Gator basketball team will be playing in conditions unlike any other game they've played.
The Gators play Georgetown aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Battan in Jacksonville, and Billy Donovan told reporters Tuesday, the teams may have to have heaters behind the benches to keep players warm.
"I haven't ever played in the cold so I don't know what that'll be like," Gators guard Kenny Boynton said. "But we'll see."
