Gators Move to 6th in Latest BCS Standings
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Gator football team completed their SEC regular season schedule and now can only wait to see if that was enough for a trip to Atlanta.
The Gators beat Missouri 14-7 on Saturday for the 12th-ever finish with a 7-1 conference record, but dreams of a possible SEC Championship still rest in the hands of the Georgia Bulldogs.
If Georgia beats Auburn next week, Florida will stay at home for the first weekend of December.
If the Bulldogs lose to the Tigers, Florida will head to Atlanta to face the winner of the SEC West.
The latest BCS rankings have the Gators as the sixth-best team in the country, behind Georgia but ahead of LSU and South Carolina.
Florida will need to continue to win, as well as get help along the way for a potential berth in the BCS National Championship game.
