GAINESVILLE, HAWTHORNE- The Hawthorne Hornets continued their perfect start to the high school basketball season Tuesday night, getting a 94-66 over St. John Lutheran to improve to 7-0 on the season.

Meanwhile St. Francis, Gainesville, and Union County were among the other boys basketball winners Tuesday.

Also, the St. Francis boys soccer team got an 8-0 win over Oak Hall Tuesday night: the final was the score at halftime, as the second half was cancelled due to the "mercy rule."
