Tim Tebow Asked Coaches Not to Play
Published December 24th, 2012
GAINESVILLE - According to Jets sources and ESPN.com Jets quarterback Tim Tebow asked the coaching staff not to use him in the wildcat package during the Jets 27-17 loss to the San Diego Chargers.
The Jets still ran the wildcat formation, using wide receiver Jeremy Kerley instead.
Tebow was frustrated over not being given the starting job after head coach Rex Ryan benched Mark Sanchez.
Tebow is expected to ask to be traded or released following the season, and will most likely be picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
