GAINESVILLE- The Gators opened their weekend series against Florida Gulf Coast on Friday. 

Jonothan Crawford pitched a 5 inning no hitter, at which point the Gators had a 1-0 lead. 

The Eagles were able to score 3 in the sixth and 5 in the eighth though, to get the win over Florida.
