Gator Baseball Falls To Georgia Southern In 12 Innings

GAINESVILLE- The Florida Gators threw 9 pitchers at Georgia Southern on Wednesday night, but the combined efforts of Justin Shafer (4 innings pitched), Eric Hanhold (0.1), Danny Young (0.2), Mike Vinson (1.0), Aaron Rhodes (1.1), Johnny Magliozzi (1.2), Corey Stump (L, 2.0), Ryan Harris and Jay Carmichael couldn't hold back the Eagles, who won 8-7 in 12 innings.
In addition to starting the game, Shafer also hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth, but it was not enough as the Gators fall to 3-2 on the season.
