Troublesome Alligator Removed From Neighborhood
Published July 13th, 2012
92 year old John Nelson, who has lived in Orange Park for almost 60 years, had never seen an alligator so big.
He had been keeping an eye on it in area lakes for weeks.
When the gator ended up just a few feet from his door he decided to call the police.
Trappers were able to remove the over 11 foot alligator with the help of some spears and rope.
Nelson says he can now sleep better at night knowing that the gator isn't a threat anymore.
