VOLUSIA COUNTY - Detectives say a plot to kill 54-year-old Robert Hall unfolded Tuesday night when Hall's ex-wife and her brother dragged him for nearly a mile behind a pickup truck.

The woman, her brother and another person attacked Hall, pointed a gun at him and shocked him several times with a taser before the dragging.

Hall told investigators he heard them talking, untied himself, and ran for safety.

The siblings have been charged with attempted murder.
