Many homes are wired for emergencies. There are smoke alarms, security systems, carbon monoxide detectors. Soon, however, many families may add another alarm designed to prevent a disaster. But its completely different than the others. In the Technology Spotlight, Meredeth Rowe, Ph.D., of UF's College of Nursing, describes to TV 20's David Snyder how the "AlzAlert" system is designed to keep Alzheimer's patients from wandering away from home.
