Duke Carter was born in Jacksonville, Fla. and raised in New Orleans, LA. He is also a graduate of the University of Florida.
While at UF, Duke started in production with cameras and eventually made the transition to reporting news. He also worked at WUFT-TV as a producer, reporter and anchor in addition to reporting and producing a weekly 30 minute show for AM 850.
After graduation, he worked as a reporter for WVLA NBC33 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana covering a variety of stories including education, politics, and many other compelling stories. He is happy to be back in Gator Country.
When he is not reporting the news, you can generally find Duke enjoying local restaurants around town with friends. He also enjoys painting, playing tennis, meeting people and just pulling up a chair for conversation.
