Michael Clarke Duncan, best remembered for his critically acclaimed performance as death-row inmate John Coffey in Stephen King's "The Green Mile,"passed away in Los Angeles on Monday.
The actor had been hospitalized for months following a July 13th heart attack.
The 6 foot 5, 300-pound Duncan appeared in dozens of films, but it was that break, out role as a convicted murderer with a gift of healing, that earned him an Academy Award Nomination.
Duncan was engaged to "The Apprentice's" Rev. Omarosa Manigault.
He was 54.
Academy Award winning Actor, Russell Crowe, along with a friend, got a lift from the coast guard this weekend while kayaking off New York's Long Island.
The pair had taken off from cold spring harbor and paddled into the wind for several miles, but as night fell and weather conditions worsened, they opted to head for shore.
While on patrol in the area, the coast guard heard Crowe calling, and the 2 quickly paddled out to the boat, got pulled up, along with their kayaks and taken to a nearby harbor.
Crowe's been on the island, filming a new movie called "Noah."
Finally, Prince Harry made his first public appearance since those racy Las Vegas photos of him appeared online.
The Prince emerged Monday evening at an Awards Ceremony for the charity "Wellchild", which helps sick children and their families across the UK.
The third in-line to the throne is a patron.
