HAWTHORNE, Fla. (WCJB) - A 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy are dead after a fatal shooting in Hawthorne. A 45-year-old-woman was shot and transported to a local hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

“It is a tragic scene. The units on scene I’ve spoken with them. They’re pretty shook up and pretty disturbed by what they saw,” said Public Information Officer with Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Frank Kinsey.

According to the Alachua County Sheriff’s office, they received a call for shots fired at 16331 SE CR 2082 around 4:30 PM. No arrests were made at the scene.

“Because at this point we believe it was a murder-suicide,” added Sgt. Kinsey.

The victims are all unnamed. Law enforcement said the crime is isolated and posed no threat to the public.

“At this point, all the individuals that were involved in this scene have been accounted for and there are no suspects outstanding.”
