GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The top ranked Gator gymnastics team starts its season away from home tonight at Auburn, but there are sports on the UF campus this weekend. The Gator men’s basketball team returns home following their road trip to Tuscaloosa. They take on the Kentucky Wildcats at the Odome Saturday at 5 pm. The women’s team is away at Georgia Sunday.

Also in Gainesville, Gainesville Street Rods is having its monthly Cruz-In Saturday night from 5:30 to 8:30. It’s a great place to see some cool rides and talk cars with their owners on a cool January evening. It’s at the Springhill Commons Publix on NW 39th Avenue at I-75.

Over in Levy County, the Chief Theatre in Chiefland is premiering its latest production tonight. If you’re looking for a few laughs, Robin Hood and His Merry Men may do the trick. This trip to the Sherwood Forest is a comic retelling of the classic tale. Shows are tonight and Saturday night at 7:30 with a matinee Sunday at 2 pm.

If it’s horses and bulls you’re looking for, check out the Florida High School Rodeo Association rodeo on Saturday. Barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling and broncs are part of the event where high schoolers compete for the weekend title. It starts Saturday night at 7 pm at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion in Ocala.

And this is the final weekend to see the Megalodon exhibit at the Florida Museum of Natural History. It ends Sunday.
